JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University women's basketball program continued its perfect run in ASUN Conference play with a 72-48 victory over Kennesaw State Saturday. In the decision, the Dolphins improved their overall record to 15-4 with a 4-0 mark in league play.

Sherranda Reddick finished the affair with a game-high 24 points, Brandi Buie added 18 and Christin Mercer 14.

Coming off of the bench, freshman center Khadijah Brown recorded seven points, a game-high nine rebounds and a career-high five blocks. All available Dolphins saw action.

"I'm very proud of the fact that people are stepping up. Our players are wanting to be a part of the journey and owning their roles," said Head Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin. "Kudos to my freshmen. They are making great strides. We see it every day in practice and are going to continue to encourage them."

The Dolphins ignited on an 11-2 run at the game's start and never relinquished their advantage.

Reddick accounted for 11 of JU's points in the opening quarter – highlighted by a perfect 3-for-3 effort from three-point land – and was the only double-digit scorer through the half where the Dolphins held a 34-23 lead.

By the two-minute mark of the third quarter, the Owls added five points to the scoreboard while Jacksonville padded its edge by 17.

As a team, JU shot 50.0 percent (26-for-52) from the floor, and limited the Owls to 25 percent (15-for-60).

The Dolphins return to Historic Swisher Gymnasium Monday evening for a 7 p.m. contest with Lipscomb.
