LakePoint, Ga. – Jacksonville University's Hannah Wilcox earned the opening ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Wilcox collects her first career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor after an outstanding season opener against Ohio State. Wilcox was all over the field and caused three turnovers and picked up two ground balls. Her effort led the Dolphins, as Jacksonville caused 17 Ohio State turnovers in the contest. She added three draw controls as well, as Jacksonville held the Buckeyes to just four goals in the first half.

The Dolphins continue play Tuesday, Feb. 14, in an exhibition against the Scotland National Team. The game, with free admission and sideline seating, starts at 5:00 p.m. at D.B. Milne Field.
