Quote

"Definitely the most disappointing loss of the season. We have certainly been playing our best lacrosse up until today. Unfortunately, we shot ourselves in the foot. Two things that we focused on at the end of the game were fundamentals and fitness, and I thought we lacked in those two departments today that allowed High Point to creep back into the game and pull away in the fourth quarter. We are going to go back to the drawing board with a huge game coming up against Bellarmine. We still have an opportunity to make the SoCon tournament and our eyes will be set on that come Monday afternoon." - Head Coach John Galloway

Scoops

Jacksonville was successful in 13 of 15 clear attempts, and won 15 of 26 faceoffs. Jacksonville also won the ground ball battle, 34-31, and outshot High Point by the same margin. Ben Gleichenhaus had 11 saves in the loss.

Applegate has collected four or more points in four of the last five games, and scooped five ground balls in the game. Hunter Forbes won 13 faceoffs, and led the squad with nine ground balls.

Jacksonville closes the regular season at Bellarmine on Apr. 29, and remains in contention for the playoff spots.
