ORLANDO, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's rowing team had a full weekend ahead as it prepares for a pair of events in the Orlando area on back-to-back days. First the Dolphins will visit UCF to square off against the Knights along with UConn and Central Oklahoma on Friday. Next, JU will visit Stetson where it will hit the river against the Hatters and Drake in its first MAAC race of the spring.

"This is a huge weekend for us," head coach Mike Lane said. "Racing UCF, UCONN & UCO will give us a tremendous test. The spring is so fresh, the only way to learn and grow is to race and Friday will be a great opportunity to do that.  It is always exciting to line up against someone other than our own team and I know our athletes could not be more excited for the challenge!"

"For me the opportunity to learn from Friday's racing then turn around and race on Saturday is a huge opportunity for growth," Lane continued. "Not to mention the results from Saturday have the added weight of being our first MAAC Conference crews we are lining up against! We plan to keep focused within and do everything we can to execute to our potential."
