BOSTON, Mass. – Jacksonville University women's rowing competing in its first event of the fall, at the prestigious Head of the Charles on Saturday afternoon.
They competed in the Club Fours race, placing 14th overall.
"Our kids rowed a good race," said Director of Rowing
Mike Lane. "However, we are disappointed in the results.
"We know we have a lot to work for going into the spring."
The Dolphins finished ahead of boats from Boston College, Fairfield, Penn, Connecticut, UMass, Fordham and Holy Cross. In total, 54 boats competed in the race. It was a first big test of the new season for JU, who aspire to return to the top of the MAAC again in the spring.
