Big First Half Propels #13/14 Dolphins to Win Over Radford

RADFORD, Va. – The Jacksonville University women's lacrosse team was back in action Sunday hot off the heels of their overtime thriller Saturday as they concluded their trip to Virginia with a matchup against Radford University. The Dolphins (5-0) used a big offensive performance in the first half to take a lead they would hold until the end of the game, defeating the Highlanders (0-8) 16-5.

"It's tough to play back-to-back games and our victory today was a true team effort," said head coach Mindy McCord. "Many players took the field today and we had the opportunity to develop our depth. Our GK's had another great effort and it was great to see Jenna Peed score her first collegiate goal and Tara Haas make her first collegiate start. Today was a day of many firsts, Julia (Kolderman) and Madeline (Cloyd) both picked up their first goals of the season and Grace (Hobson) had her first hat trick."

"Molly (Brock) strung together another remarkable day dominating the draw and leading statistically with Sarah (Elms) and Jenny (Kinsey). We haven't seen our best lacrosse yet but we have established our identity. A special congratulations and milestone for our honorary team captain Nick Hamel today on his 100th team victory!"
