Women’s Lacrosse Rolls to Big Win over Niagara

Jacksonville, Fla. – The Jacksonville Women's Lacrosse team responded Sunday afternoon, with a commanding 20-2 victory over the Niagara Purple Eagles at Rock Stadium.

Six Dolphins (2-1) had multi-goal performances in the victory. In total, 14 different players found the back of the net for Jacksonville on the afternoon. Addy Tysdal and Paige Pagano each made three saves between the pipes for JU.

Rachel Crane and Jaclyn Crane had a goal each for the Purple Eagles (1-1). Michelle Messenger took the decision for Niagara in goal.

After Jacksonville scored the contest's opening six goals, Niagara scored their lone goal of the opening period with 6:04 remaining in the frame. The Dolphins would score back-to-back goals to end the quarter leading 8-1.

In the second quarter, Jacksonville would outscore Niagara 5-1, to take a 13-2 advantage into halftime.

The Dolphins would hold the Purple Eagles scoreless in the second half, outscoring Niagara 7-0 in the half on their way to a 20-2 victory.
