JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Four Jacksonville University women's golfers were honored as Academic All-ASUN selections, the league office announced Wednesday morning.
Issy Hopkins,
Erin Marcelino,
Alexis Rieli and
Kit Schaefer all were honored by the conference as top-level student-athletes across the league landscape. All four Dolphins maintained a GPA of above 3.5 through the calendar year and appeared in more than 50% of the team's competitions.
Marcelino earned a 4.0 GPA with her major in Biology, earning a minor in chemistry while on the pre-med track. She was consistently the top golfer for the program, earning the team's lowest year-long scoring average of 76.9. Mrcelino had previously been named a WGCA All-American Scholar.
Rieli too earned a 4.0 in her graduate student MBA program. She earned a top-25 finish at the Mercer Invitational in November in her lone year as a 'Phin.

Kit Schaefer earned a 3.56 in her sports performance track, competing in seven tournaments this year including the ASUN Championship.
The lone junior of the group,
Issy Hopkins, earned a 3.61 GPA in her exercise science track. She had the second lowest average round score on the team (79.2) and finished 43
rd at the ASUN Championship.
Jacksonville's four honorees were tied for second most across the league landscape for schools who hit the academic and athletic requirements.
