2022 (Senior): Appeared and started in all 19 games at defense for the Dolphins... Caused nine turnovers on the season while scooping up 21 ground balls and a pair of draw controls... Recorded seven multi ground ball games and two multi caused turnover games... Had her top performance of the season in round one of the ASUN Conference Tournament when she recorded three caused turnovers and a ground ball against Coastal Carolina (05/05/22)... Scored the first goal of her Dolphin career on 02/20/22 against Niagara and added a second later in the season against Delaware State on 04/18/22. For her efforts both on the field and in the classroom Beth was named to the 2022 ASUN All-Academic Team and was also awarded the Richard H. Malone Award for Excellence from the Keigwin School of Nursing.
2021 (Junior): Started in all 14 games of the season... Earned a season-high for ground balls with four against ranked Florida in the home-opener (March 13)... Her overall statistics include 13 groundballs, nine caused turnovers and two draw controls... She made her way onto the ASUN All-Conference second team for her efforts on defense... In addition to the all-conference team, she maintained a 4.0 GPA in the Keigwin School of Nursing while also being named to the ASUN All-Academic team for her success in the classroom.
2020 (Sophomore): Started all four games before the season was ended due to the global Coronavirus outbreak ... Caused a pair of turnovers.
2019 (Freshman): Started off her collegiate career appearing in 20 games and started 19 of them … Picked up 10 ground balls and caused nine turnovers … Won one draw control against Mercer where it was the teams first time in program history they had won an NCAA Tournament Game (May 7) … Posted one shot, caused two turnovers and was a noted defensive player against USC (February 24).
Prior to Jacksonville: Four-year starter in lacrosse at St. John’s College HS (2017, 2018) and Wootton HS (2015, 2016) ... Also played field hockey at both schools … Two-time US Lacrosse Academic All-American (2017, 2018) … Earned several honors following her junior season, including St. John’s Defensive Player of the Year, D.C. All-Northwest First Team, and All- Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Third Team … Helped the Cadets to the first WCAC semi-final in school history … Selected as team captain for her senior season in 2018 … Helped Wootton HS to back-to-back Maryland State Regional Tournament appearances her freshman and sophomore seasons (2015, 2016) … Second-leading scorer her freshman year … Two-time WCAC Champions in field hockey (2016, 2017) and earned All-WCAC field hockey honors both seasons at St. John’s … Named captain in field hockey her senior season … Third-leading scorer as a senior … Helped Wootton HS to the 2015 Maryland State Final as a sophomore … Played club lacrosse for Rockville Girls Lacrosse from 2007-11, and most recently with MC Elite from 2011-17 … Three-time participant in the US Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament for the DC Metro Team … Also played in the 2014 Brine National Classic … Off the field, served as a member of the National and French Honor Societies … Received the French Award for the senior class … Also earned Achievement with Distinction upon graduating … Participating in guitar and dance.
Personal: Born May 18 … Daughter of Rebecca and Craig Cornelius … Has two brothers … Both brothers, Chris (2013-16) and Patrick (2016-present), played lacrosse at Lynchburg College … Intends to pursue a degree in Nursing.
