Conchi Sanchez was hired as the new Student-Athlete Services Graduate Assistant in July 2021.
Prior to JU, Sanchez was a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Flagler College in 2020-21 for the #1 ranked women’s soccer program in Division II, where the team went on to win a Peach Belt Conference championship in the regular season and conference tournament. In her role with the team, Sanchez also helped plan and implement academic support plans for the squad.
Sanchez briefly held an internship position with Orlando City and Orlando Pride professional soccer clubs in 2020. She primarily assisted with gameday operations and event management.
As a student-athlete, Sanchez was a four-year letter winner at Flagler College for the women’s soccer team, spanning from 2016-2020. During Sanchez’s tenure, the squad continually ascended as a Division II power, leading to a conference championship, regional championship, and national ranking in 2019. Sanchez received academic recognition from the Peach Belt Conference each year, culminating with an academic-all conference honor in her senior year.
Prior to her time competing in the college ranks, Sanchez played one year of prep soccer at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, winning a state cup with the U19 Academy Team.
A native of Madrid, Spain, Sanchez earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration from Flagler College in 2019.
