Josh Moreira enters his fourth season on the Jacksonville men's soccer coaching staff and his second as an Assistant Coach in 2026.
Since joining the program in 2023, Moreira has played an integral role in Jacksonville's continued growth both on the field and on the recruiting trail. A former Toronto FC Academy player and Canadian Youth National Team representative, Moreira has helped expand the program's recruiting footprint throughout Canada and beyond, utilizing his extensive connections within the Toronto FC Academy system and Canadian soccer landscape to identify and attract high-level talent to Jacksonville.
The impact of Jacksonville's recent recruiting success was on full display during the 2025 season. Four Dolphins earned ASUN All-Freshman Team honors, the most in program history, while Logan Hall became the first ASUN Freshman of the Year in program history. Jacksonville also produced a First Team All-ASUN selection in Juan Pablo Gonzalez, advanced to the ASUN Conference Semifinals and set a program record with six Academic All-ASUN honorees.
Prior to becoming an Assistant Coach, Moreira spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant while completing his master's degree. His responsibilities have included recruiting, player development, scouting and match preparation while helping guide the program's continued rise within the ASUN Conference.
A native of Canada, Moreira was a four-year member of the Jacksonville men's soccer program from 2020-23. During his playing career, he helped the Dolphins capture the 2021 ASUN Tournament Championship and earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament.
Before arriving at Jacksonville, Moreira developed through the Toronto FC Academy, one of North America's premier youth development systems, and represented the Canadian National Team at the youth level.
Off the field, Moreira earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Business before completing his Master of Business Administration at Jacksonville. As both a former student-athlete and current coach, he remains committed to the continued success and growth of the Dolphins program.
