Prior to JU:

Simon started playing soccer at the age of four with his local club and continued his development at CS Visé and RFC Liège. He later joined the youth academy of KAS Eupen, a top-tier Belgian club, where he quickly rose through the ranks. His leadership qualities earned him the captaincy of both the U16 and U17 teams. His standout performances led to selections for the Belgian U17 and U19 national teams, with which he competed in prestigious international tournaments in Belarus and Japan. At just sixteen, Simon was already playing for KAS Eupen’s U21 side. He then moved to the Netherlands to join MVV Maastricht, before returning to Belgium to play for the senior teams of RRC Stockay and RFCU La Calamine over the past two seasons.
