Kacey Knobloch Headshot 2025

Kacey Knobloch

Knobloch enters her second season with the Dolphins in 2026.

In her first season as an assistant coach in 2025, Jacksonville went 6-0 en route to another regular season ASUN Championship. The Dolphins boasted the best defense in the conference, allowing 10.56 gaols per game, and a top five offense, scoring 13.31 goals per game.

Jacksonville had numerous award winners, including eight members of the All-ASUN first or second team, and three individual award winners.

Knobloch finished her career as a James Madison Duke ranked eighth in all-time assists and 15th in all-time points in JMU history. As a graduate student in 2024, she earned numerous accolades, including American Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference and All-Tournament Team honors.

Despite missing the 2023 season due to injury, Knobloch's leadership and dedication remained evident. Her earlier seasons were marked by consistent excellence, including being named First Team All-CAA in 2022 and VaSID Second Team All-State in 2021. Throughout her collegiate career, she was recognized multiple times for her academic achievements, demonstrating a strong commitment to both her sport and her studies.

"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with such an incredible staff at Jacksonville University," Knobloch said. "I want to specifically thank Head Coach Tara Singleton and Athletics Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert for allowing me to be a part of a high-level program with a great culture. I'm honored and excited to join the family at JU and can't wait to help contribute to the team's success this upcoming season. 'Phins Up!"

During her ’24 season as a graduate student, Knobloch was named a captain for the fourth time in her career. She started 20 games on attack for the Dukes and rattled off 29 goals. She also added 29 assists, the second-most in a season for a JMU player. She finished the season eighth in the AAC for assist per game with 1.45.
Her performance helped pave the way for a JMU run into the AAC tournament, where the team fell to No. 4 Maryland. Her ability during the tournament landed her on the AAC All-Tournament Team after JMU’s two-game run.

As a redshirt junior in ’22, Knobloch finished as a member of the First Team All-CAA after being named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention. During that season, she led the team with four game-winning goals and notched three games where she scored four goals. She finished with the second most assists on the team (22).

Knobloch graduated from James Madison with a master's in Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies. In high school, she was a USA Lacrosse All-American in 2018 and named First Team All-State as both a junior and a senior.
