Andrea Da Silva Encinas joined the Jacksonville University beach volleyball staff in July 2026 as a graduate assistant.
Da Silva Encinas arrived at Jacksonville following a decorated two-year playing career at North Florida. During her final season with the Ospreys in 2026, she earned First Team All-ASUN and Academic All-ASUN recognition while helping North Florida advance to the ASUN Championship final.
Playing primarily alongside Madison Espy, Da Silva Encinas earned ASUN Pair of the Week honors after the tandem defeated pairs from No. 3 USC and No. 10 Long Beach State at the Texas Invitational. The pair also recorded victories over nationally ranked opponents Stanford, Florida Atlantic and Stetson during the 2026 season.
In 2025, Da Silva Encinas helped North Florida capture the ASUN Championship and advance to the NCAA Championship. She earned ASUN All-Tournament Team honors alongside Sophia Notaro after the pair won in straight sets during the Ospreys’ championship-match victory over Stetson.
Before transferring to North Florida, Da Silva Encinas played one season at Southeastern Louisiana. She and Rachel Hartmann went 23-9 at the top position, establishing a program record for victories by a pair. Da Silva Encinas earned Second Team All-Southland, Southland Pair of the Week and Southland All-Academic honors during the 2024 season.
Da Silva Encinas began her collegiate career as an indoor volleyball player at Polk State College. She was part of the Eagles’ 2021 NJCAA Southeast District B championship team and earned FCSAA All-Academic recognition as a freshman.
A native of Andorra la Vella, Andorra, Da Silva Encinas attended Institut Joan Brudieu and speaks five languages. Her father, Genildo, played professional indoor and beach volleyball
