Jordan Mincy enters his fifth year as head coach of Jacksonville University men's basketball in 2025-26.
2024-25
For the third time under Mincy, the Dolphins reached the ASUN Quarterfinals. And for the third time, the Dolphins were victorious. Jacksonville finished its regular season as the #4 team in the ASUN and earned a home playoff game in the Quarterfinals against #5 EKU, where JU earned a hard fought win. JU would fall in the Semifinals to co-conference champion #2 North Alabama.
The success of the 2024-25 regular season saw Jacksonville earn an invitation to the 2025 College Basketball Invitational, the school's first postseason berth since 2016-17.
- Mincy moved to seventh all-time in wins at Jacksonville with 69 prior to play in the CBI.
- Three players landed on All-ASUN Postseason awards lists: Robert McCray V, All-ASUN First Team, Chris Arias, All-Freshman ASUN Team, Jakari Spence, All-Academic ASUN.
- McCray was also awarded Preseason ASUN Player of the Year (first since 2010) and 2025 All-ASUN Tournament Team.
- Under Mincy, 4 players have been named to the ASUN Tournament Team since 2021. Last honoree was in 2018.
- Oversaw Jacksonville's 6-0 start to ASUN road games which was the first such streak at JU since 1986-87.
- Won seven ASUN games in a row which was highest total for the program since 2009-10.
- Defeated ACC foe Virginia Tech in Blacksburg for school's largest Power 4 victory since 2010.
2023-24
Mincy led the Dolphins to a semi-finals finish in the ASUN Tournament with wins over #9 Kennesaw State and #1 EKU before falling to #2 Stetson on last-second shot.
- Finished year with 16-17 record, 5-11 in ASUN play.
- Earned non-conference wins over Georgia Southern twice, Robert Morris, Farleigh Dickenson, Campbell, Louisiana-Monroe and Erskine.
- Won annual River City Rumble against rival UNF 62-50.
- Robert McCray selected to Third-Team All-ASUN and later entered name into NBA Draft.
2022-23
Highlights from his second season at the helm included a buy-game win at VCU, the continuation of a home winning streak and conference honors for a standout player
- JU picked up three non-conference road wins, highlighted by the 73-62 triumph at VCU
- The Dolphins home win streak continued to begin the season, and stretched to 21-0 in Swisher Gym, which was the third-longest active win streak in the nation before coming to a close in late January
- The 21-game home win streak goes down as the second-longest in program history, trailing only the 36-straight wins from Jan. 13, 1969-Dec. 7, 1971
- Kevion Nolan was named to the ASUN All-Academic team, the first time a JU player was named to the squad since 2019
- The team received the D.B. Milne Sportsmanship Award at the 2023 student-athlete awards banquet, The JAXPYS
- JU lead the ASUN Conference in field goal percentage defense and 3-point percentage defense for the second-straight season and finished second in scoring defense
- JU's two-season record under Mincy in games in which they hold the opponent under 60 points is 26-3
2021-22
Coach Mincy wasted no time in putting his stamp on the program, with a successful first year at the helm.
- Won the 2022 Joe B. Hall Award as the top first-year head coach in the country
- Led team to 21 wins, the second-most wins for a first-year head coach in program history
- First undefeated home season since 1972-73 (15-0)
- First ASUN Basketball Championship final appearance since 2009
- One of only five first year mid-major coaches in the country to reach to 20-win plateau
- Won 11 ASUN Conference games and finished as the two-seed in the South Division after being picked 10th of 12 teams in the Preseason ASUN Coaches Poll
- Most conference wins since 2010-11 season
- Swept crosstown rival North Florida in the River City Rumble
- Dolphins had the #5 scoring defense and #12 rebounding margin team in the nation
- Led the ASUN in scoring defense, rebounding margin, field goal percentage defense and three-point percentage defense
- Kevion Nolan was first player to make First team All-ASUN since 2016

Mincy played for four years at Kent State, winning two MAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships and played in the NCAA Tournament in 2006 and 2008. He graduated from the school in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in business marketing and finished his career as the all-time leader in games played in MAC history at 135 and is seventh all-time in assists at Kent State.
He is one of three siblings in his family to play college basketball. He led Ridgeway HS to the Tennessee Class 3A state championship in 2005. He is a member of Kent State's Gamma Tau chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and lives in Jacksonville with his wife.
