A new addition to Jacksonville University Volleyball and head coach Julie Darty’s staff, volunteer assistant coach Joshua Jones brings a wealth of knowledge to the indoor game and ties to JU itself.
Jones will work with the Dolphin attackers and middle blockers, along with help the coaching staff with in-game defensive coaching. He will also assist in video breakdown, scouting, day-to-day operations, and game day set up.
A graduate of East River High School, Jones helped the Falcons to a perfect 30-0 season in 2009, culminating in a Florida State High School Championship.
Jones continued playing in college and earned Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year honors at Lees-McRae in 2012. Additionally, Jones played five years of NCAA volleyball and graduated from Lindenwood University with his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentraion in marketing.
The son of Ernie and Barbara, Jones’ brother Jonathan, played football and baseball at JU, and his brother Matthew played football at Mount Union.
