Rob Saunders was elevated to Associate Athletic Director, Compliance in July 2021 after serving the previous four years as Assistant AD. Saunders joined the Jacksonville University athletic department in August 2014 as Director of Compliance.

In his role as Associate AD, Saunders is responsible for oversight of the compliance program including personnel, amateurism, recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, awards and benefits, and playing seasons in addition to the rules education and new coach orientation programs.

Prior to arriving at JU, Saunders served as the Compliance Assistant for the Big 12 Conference after spending two years as an athletics compliance assistant at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. He also worked in the compliance office at Radford University in Virginia in addition to serving as ticket office manager.

Originally from Radford, Va., Saunders earned his Master’s in Business Administration in Sport Management from Florida Atlantic in August of 2013. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2008.
