Former Jacksonville baseball standout Chris Lehane enters his first year as a marketing assistant for JU athletics in 2018.
As a member of the Dolphins' baseball team from 2013-18, Lehane played in 135 career games at seven different positions, holding a .301 career batting average, a .400 on-base percentage and a .359 slugging percentage. A First-Team All-ASUN Selection and a member of the ASUN All-Academic squad his senior year, he set the program single-season record and led the league in sacrifice bunts (20), while ranking third in on the 'Phins and fourth in the ASUN in hits (69).
With Lehane's help, the Dolphins achieved their first 40-win season since 2006, and earned an at-large bid as a No. 2 seed to the 2018 NCAA Tournament, the highest seed in school history to-date.
The Jacksonville native finished his career in the green and gold tied for fourth all-time in sacrifice hits (26). He also earned a spot on the ASUN All-Tournament Team his junior year.
Lehane previously served as a student intern with the athletic marketing department for the Spring 2018 semester.
Lehane earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a focus in sports business from JU in 2017, minoring in marketing and management. He completed a Master's of Business Administration with a focus in management in 2018.
