JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University Athletics has announced its 2019 Hall of Fame inductees. The class features four individuals as well as a team that will be celebrating a significant anniversary in 2019-20.

Terry Alexander (Baseball), Ronnie Murphy (Men's Basketball), Joane (Pierre) Klein (Women's Cross Country/Track & Field) and Duncan Stewart (Men's Golf) were all inducted unanimously along with the 1969-70 men's basketball team, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its historic run to the National Championship game this coming year.

"To be inducted into the Jacksonville University Hall-of-Fame is an incredible honor," Senior Vice President and Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert said. "We have an extraordinary history of success and tradition and each hall-of-fame member has played a significant role in forming that. We are thrilled to announce the Jacksonville Hall-of-Fame class of 2019. This year's inductees have meant so much to our university and athletics department. Congratulations!"

In conjunction with 2019 Homecoming festivities, the inductees will be honored at a special ceremony on campus at Terry Concert Hall on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Fans are welcome to attend the event free of charge.

Terry Alexander (Baseball Head Coach, 1991-2013)

• Winningest coach in program history (730-628-2)
• Led baseball program to 10 NCAA Regionals appearances, four conference titles and 14 winning seasons including five of the 40-win variety
• Jersey is retired at Sessions Stadium
• Three-time Conference Coach of the Year
• Coached 14 All-Americans (including Freshman All-Americans)

Ronnie Murphy (Men's Basketball, 1984-87)

• 1984 AP All-America Honorable Mention
• Three-time Basketball Times All-America Honorable Mention (1984, 1986, 1987)
• Three-time Basketball Weekly All-America Honorable Mention (1984, 1986, 1987)
• Two-time The Sporting New All-America Honorable Mention (1984, 1987)
• 1987 Blue Ribbon All-America Honorable Mention
• 1984 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year
• Four-time Sun Belt All-Conference (1984 First Team, 1985 Honorable Mention, 1986 Second Team, 1987 First Team)

• Two-Time Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team (1986, 1987)
• Led Jacksonville to NCAA First Round appearance in 1986 & NIT First Round appearance in 1987
• Third-most points scored in program history (1,937)
• Ninth-best career scoring average (17 PPG)
• Fourth-most points in a season (661, 1986-87)
• Second-most FG made in program history (770)
• Drafted 17th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1987 NBA Draft

Joane (Pierre) Klein (Women's Cross Country/Track & Field, 2009-13)

• 2x NCAA Finals/Championships Qualifier - 800m (Outdoor – 2013) - 6K (XC – 2012)
• Six-time JU Record Holder
• 14x ASUN Individual Champion
• 9x ASUN Team Champion
• Helped the Dolphins to their unprecedented 22 straight ASUN titles spanning the indoor and outdoor seasons from 2006 to 2016
• Member of the Dolphins' "Triple Crown" that won the ASUN Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track and Field titles in the 2009-2010 academic year
• 25x All-ASUN selection
• ASUN Cross Country Runner of the Year (2012)
• ASUN All-Freshman Team selection (2009)
• Member of the Distance Medley Relay that holds the ASUN Indoor Championships record (11:32.29) set in 2013 

Duncan Stewart (Men's Golf, 2003-07)

• 2006 ASUN Conference Individual Co-Champion
• Two-Time NCAA Regional Individual Qualifier (2005 & 2007)
• Two-Time ASUN Conference Golfer of the Year (2005 & 2006)
• Three-Time First-Team All-ASUN selection (2005, 2006, 2007)
• Helped the Dolphins earn their first-ever team berth to an NCAA Regional in 2006 after winning the ASUN Championship
• Most individual tournament titles won in program history (8)
• Holds record for lowest par-3 scoring in a season (3.0000, 2005-06)
• Second all-time in finishing percentage, birdies, eagles and rounds of par or better
• Went pro in 2007, winning three events on the PGA EuroPro Tour from 2011-2012
• Won the 2016 Challenge De Madrid (Challenge Tour is second-tier European men's golf league)

1969-70 Men's Basketball Team

• Winningest team in program history (27 wins)
• Posted a 27-2 record, advanced to the NCAA Tournament
• Advanced to the program's first and only NCAA Final Four
• Played for a National Championship, remains the smallest school to ever do so
• Ranked No. 4 in the final AP Poll and No. 5 in the final UPI Poll
• Defeated five opponents ranked inside the Top 10
• Defeated the No. 1 team in the nation (Kentucky) to reach the Final Four
• Defeated the No. 3 team in the nation (St. Bonaventure) to reach the National Championship Game
• Defeated No. 8 Florida State at home on Feb. 18, 1970 in front of a capacity crowd at the Jacksonville Coliseum
• Coached by Joe Williams and led by Naismith Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore (23.2 ppg, 22.2 reb) and Rex Morgan (18.2 ppg, 6.4 reb)
