JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University men's basketball team announced its non-conference slate of games on Monday afternoon, completing the release of the 2019-20 schedule.
The strength of the non-conference schedule is undeniable as the Dolphins will go toe-to-toe with three opponents from major conferences, all on the road beginning with the season opener at Xavier on Nov. 5. Road trips to Marquette on Dec. 4 and Clemson on Dec. 20 round out the highlights away from home.
In a unique situation, the Dolphins will also play a neutral-site game in Miami against the MAC opponent Bowling Green on Nov. 11. That game will tip at 6 p.m. and will serve as a home game for the Falcons.
Other road matchups include three games in three days in an event at UMass-Lowell (Nov. 15-17). The Dolphins will match up with the hosts on the first day followed by matchups with Dartmouth and Merrimack. The road slate concludes with trips to Campbell (Nov. 25), North Carolina A&T (Nov. 30) and Presbyterian (Dec. 18).
The home opener will tip on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. against Johnson University and will be followed a couple of weeks later by a visit from Western Carolina on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. Back-to-back home matchups with Bethune-Cookman (Dec. 7) and Middle Georgia (Dec. 14) pop up in December and the Dolphins will close out the non-conference schedule, and the year 2019, with a home contest against South Carolina State on Dec. 30.
