ATLANTA, Ga. - The Jacksonville University women's lacrosse team swept the ASUN Weekly Awards on Tuesday afternoon with Kenny Kinsey earning ASUN Player of the Week following an earth-shattering performance and
Molly Brock took home ASUN Defensive Player of Week, both in the wake of knocking for Pac-12 opponent Oregon, 17-10.
There was plenty of love to go around forÂ
Jenny Kinsey on Valentine's Day. The junior was surgical in collecting seven goals to go with an assist for eight points on the night. This marks the 22nd time in program history that an individual collected at least eight points in a game, unsurprisingly, Kinsey was the last to do it on May 2, 2019. Kinsey's seven goals fall just one shy of her own single-game program record of eight. She joins a list of six others to score seven in a game.
Molly Brock added a pair of goals and an assist for her three points to go with three ground balls, five caused turnover and five draw controls. Brock controlled the midfield for Jacksonville and set the pace for the offense on multiple possessions en route to the historic victory for the program. The Dolphins were able to land their first victory in four tries against the Ducks and just their second win against a Pac-12 opponent all-time (Colorado, 02/15/14).
Jacksonville will hit the road for the first of just four road trips this season and will visit Detroit on Feb. 23. That match is set to get rolling at 12:30 p.m.
