Set One
Florida Gulf Coast controlled the contest right from the beginning, as the Eagles held a nine-point lead over Jacksonville, 16-7. However, the Dolphins sparked a 7-2 run to trim the deficit to four, 18-14, forcing a FGCU timeout. Following the break, the Eagles scored seven of the next 10 points to win the opening set, 25-17.

Set Two
FGCU held a slim one-point edge over the Dolphins to begin the second set, 5-4. However, the Eagles swung the momentum to their side of the net courtesy of a 16-4 burst, to expand their lead to 13, 21-18. FGCU closed the set scoring the final three points to clinch the second set, 25-13.

Set Three
The two programs traded points back-and-forth to begin the third set, as JU held a one-point lead, 6-5. However, FGCU utilized a 14-2 scoring run to stretch their lead to 11, 19-8. FGCU was able to win the third set, 25-12, and complete the three-set sweep of the Dolphins.
