Dolphins Finish Strong in Head of South Regatta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jacksonville's men's rowing team had solid finishes from all boats to round out the fall campaign. The Dolphins achieved seven top five finishes and one first place finish against tough competitors.

To start the day, the Men's Club 2 event had two JU boats placed in the top five. Mason Fors and Liam Wickham came in first with a time of 19:12.0, while Henry Camillo and Cameron Ganim placed third with a 19:31.4 time. Following their lead, four boats placed in the Men's Championship with second, third, fourth and sixth place finishes respectively.

Next, the Men's Championship 4+ had three Dolphin boats row across the finish line in fifth, eighth and ninth places. To round out the day's events, the Men's Championship 8+ had four boats finish in the top 10. The Dolphins achieved second, sixth, seventh and eighth place to have a boat stand on the podium for the fifth time.

"Today's performances were solid, our guys went out there and did what they were supposed to do," Head Coach Preston Weinard said. "We executed well."

The Dolphins will return to the water in the spring of 2022.
