Baseball Announces 2022 Slate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University baseball announced its 2022 schedule on Thursday. 
 
The Dolphins play 28 home games at John Sessions Stadium including an eight-game homestand to open the season, home games against Florida State and UCF and a home series with crosstown rival North Florida, while testing itself with plenty of road challenges.
 
""We are looking forward to the challenges that the 2022 schedule presents," said Head Coach Chris Hayes. "We will be tested early and often against the best teams in the country.

"With 32 games against teams from Florida and 25 road games, we will be prepared and ready for the postseason come late May and June."
 
The season gets started at home on February 18 with a series against High Point, followed by welcoming the Seminoles to Sessions for the first time since 2020 on February 22. Troy them visits to complete the opening month starting February 25 and the season-opening homestand concludes with Georgia Southern for a midweek contest to open up March. JU concludes non-conference home series with Butler March 4-6.
 
The defending ASUN Champions begin their title defense when Kennesaw State visits March 18-20. The rest of the home conference schedule features the rest of the ASUN South Division: Liberty (April 1-3), Stetson (April 14-16), FGCU (April 29-May 1) and North Florida to conclude the home slate (May 13-15).
 
UCF visits April 12, Bethune-Cookman on May 3 and FAMU the following night.
 
The Dolphins travel to Florida for two-straight midweek games March 8-9, makes the return trip to Tallahassee to face the Seminoles again on April 5 and May 10 and heads to Orlando to play UCF April 19. JU also travels to face Florida International, Bethune-Cookman, FAMU in the non-conference and heads to each of their ASUN South Division foes.
