Game Recap: Women's Basketball | | Mike Kravchenko

Dolphins Make it Four Straight as Jackson Shines

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Dolphins (6-2) welcomed Warner University (2-7) for the first time since 2018, resulting in another win for JU, 91-44.

The game was a consistent run for JU as they lead for the entirety of the game and never let up for even one second. JU scored a season-high seven three pointers while Shynia Jackson shined in her best game in a Dolphins uniform thus far. Jackson scored 19 points on 66.7% shooting and dished out four assists to add to the Dolphins total. Defensively, Jackson performed highly as well with seven rebounds and four steals.

That dominance would shine throughout the team as four other Dolphins reached double-digit scoring while also giving the team a rebound advantage of 44-25. No matter the statistic, JU dominated it.

This game was another one where offensively, the Dolphins reached new highs. Scoring twelve more than their previous high of 79. The three highest scorers on JU came off the bench, however Coach Darnell Haney does not view it that way. "We really have ten starters. On any given night, any of the team can be a starting player." The players are beginning to understand that and perform at higher levels each game that passes.

JU has started December off on a great track, winning three games in a row to begin. They look to continue their momentum on Friday as they welcome Webber International at 7PM.
