Dolphins Defeat Queens on Senior Day

Jacksonville, Fla. – Behind goals from Hannah Bielicke and Anaya Black, the Jacksonville University women's soccer program (5-4-4, 2-4-2) defeated new ASUN member Queens, 2-0, on Senior Day at Southern Oak Stadium.

Prior to the contest, the program honored the academic and athletic achievements of five 'Phins, Olivia Adballah, Shelby Brim, Courtney Green, Beyonce Robinson and Mya Stolarski.

To begin the match, the Dolphins were able to strike quick, as Bielicke would find the back of the net off a pass from Anna Remensnyder in the 12th minute. The goal was the first of the Edwardsville, Ill. native's collegiate career.

Jacksonville would maintain the one goal lead entering the half.

Coming out of the half, Jacksonville would once again score early, as Selma Fohrer found Anaya Black in transition, giving the Dolphins a 2-0 lead.

The Dolphin defense would hang tough all day, allowing only one shot on goal, en route to their fifth shutout of the year.

Jacksonville has a quick turnaround, returning to action Tuesday afternoon for a 3 PM match against Jacksonville State.
