Box Score DeLand, Fla. – The Jacksonville Men's Basketball program jumped out to an early lead, a game in which they never trailed, to cruise to a 67-45 victory over Stetson Wednesday evening.
The Dolphins (17-8, 9-4 ASUN) raced out to a 10-0 advantage five minutes into the contest, behind two baskets courtesy of
Bryce Workman and one each from
Osayi Osifo and
Rod Brown, and never looked back.
The two teams traded baskets back-and-forth in the middle of the first half, with Jacksonville holding a 24-13 edge over the Hatters.
A
Kevion Nolan three-pointer with seven seconds left in the opening half would extend the JU lead to 18 entering the break, 36-18.
The second have provided much of the same success for the Dolphins.
Jacksonville would extend its lead to as many as 28 in the second half, as JU led 59-31 at the under-8 media timeout.
In the end, the Dolphins would leave Edmunds Arena with another ASUN victory, 67-45.

The Dolphins return home Saturday night, welcoming Kennesaw State to Swisher Gymnasium. Opening tip-off is set for 6 PM.
