LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Dolphins (6-13) travel to Louisville, Kentucky to take on the Bellarmine Knights (8-18) in their first ASUN matchup of the season.
The Dolphins take a strong stretch of games into conference play, winning six of their last eight in part to improved play on both sides of the diamond. Leading her team in hits and RBIs is JU veteran and senior, Victoria Rodebaugh. Rodebaugh has started all nineteen games thus far, after her 2021 campaign that saw similar numbers as she molded into a leader for the program. She has taken this leadership to new heights this season with a new-look team that has yet to see ASUN conference play.
On the defensive end, JU veteran and senior, Skylar Whitty has been improving with every outing. In her last two starts, Whitty has pitched 14.2 innings and only surrendered two runs, with her last outing being a complete-game shutout. JU has seemingly found their rhythm with their longest-tenured players leading the charge towards the ASUN.
JU will face Bellarmine for the first time in recorded history this weekend, March 19th and 20th, in a three-game series. Game one begins at 1PM on Saturday, March 19th.
