JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Dolphins (10-14) split their doubleheader with Eastern Kentucky (5-23) this afternoon, setting up Sunday's series finale as the deciding game.  

Skylar Whitty pitched a gem for the Dolphins in game one. While the bats brought across three runs, Whitty would surrender just one hit in a complete-game shutout of the Colonels as she moved her record to 6-5 and gave the Dolphins their sixth straight win. This win also moved JU into first in the ASUN East Division for the current standings.  

The second game would tell an opposing story, as the Colonels' bats were much improved. With Ashlee Harwood on the mound, JU was able to run through two scoreless innings before the first run crossed the plate in the top of the third. However, it would go in as unearned as the Dolphin defense would struggle with two errors in that top half.      

The fifth inning is where the game broke open as the Colonels would score six runs on six hits in the inning and give themselves the eight-run lead needed for a mercy rule. In five innings, the Dolphins would drop game two 0-8.   

Game three will begin tomorrow, Sunday, March 27th at 1PM. With the series tied at one, game three is set as the series-deciding game.
