JACKSONVILLE, FLA - #23 Jacksonville Women's Lacrosse heads on a two-game road trip this weekend with their first stop in Conway, SC on Friday to kick off ASUN conference play against Coastal Carolina, and their second stop in Sparks, MD on Sunday where they will battle Cornell in their second neutral site game of the year.
The Dolphins enter the weekend coming off of two straight home victories which saw them winning by 10 plus goals in each match. In their most recent game against Furman, JU was dominant from start to finish claiming an eighteen-goal victory over the Paladins by a score of 22-4.
WHO – COASTAL CAROLINA
Coastal Carolina enters the match with a mid-season record of 4-5 and a goal differential of +16. While they have struggled slightly away from Conway, the Chanticleers are 2-0 at home with two twelve goal victories over both William & Mary (22-10) and Winthrop (19-7).
Coastal and JU have previously faced off against each other eight total times with the Dolphins leading the all-time series six games to two. In their most recent meeting on April 23, 2021, it was Coastal who would upset the then ninth ranked Dolphins winning in overtime by a score of 13-12.

Cornell enters Sunday's match on a three-game win streak, sporting a season record of six wins and three losses. Some of the Big Red's notable games from this season include a 23-goal performance in their win over Columbia, a double overtime win over Harvard, and a loss to #10 Princeton by just one goal.
Cornell and JU have only faced off once, back in 2012 when the Big Red defeated the Dolphins by a score of 22-13. With just over a decade in between the last matchup and Sunday's, a lot has changed between the two programs.
