KENNESAW, Ga. – A series sweep by the Kennesaw Owls brought the Dolphins' season to an end this afternoon with the ASUN play-in game just out of reach. 

JU played a doubleheader against KSU beginning at 1 PM. They would lead the game off with an early score to go up one. The Owls responded immediately in the bottom half of the first, scoring twice. They scored consistently early in the game, jumping out to a 6-1 lead after three.  

The Dolphins could not get the offense going, though they were able to hold the Owls scoreless for the rest of the game. The score remained and they dropped game one, ensuring a berth in the ASUN tournament for KSU. 

It came down to the final game to decide the Dolphins' future in the 2022 season. Once again, Kennesaw scored quickly and scored a lot. Through three innings, they hit the six-run number again, while holding JU scoreless.  

While JU was able to get a run back in the bottom of the fourth, KSU answered again with three of their own to go up eight and finish the game in five innings, 9-1.  

Stetson won their final game of the season against Liberty yesterday, securing the final spot in the East division, to make the play-in game and push JU out of contention.
