JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University men's basketball announced its 2022-23 slate on Tuesday.
The schedule features matchups with several power conference foes, as well as an expanded ASUN Conference slate with the league home to 14 teams this season.
The campaign tips on the road at Duke on November 7, in the first-ever matchup between the two programs. From there, the Dolphins open the home slate on Friday, November 11 at 2 p.m. against Johnson (Fla.).
Major non-conference road trips include visits to Campbell on November 23, reigning Conference-USA tournament champions UAB on November 30, perennial Atlantic 10 power VCU in Richmond on December 7, a return trip to Wilmington to face UNCW on December 10 and matchup in South Bend against Notre Dame on December 27.
The ASUN schedule starts on New Year's Eve, with JU traveling down to Fort Myers, where the regular season ended last year, to face FGCU. The Dolphins face off against five league opponents twice throughout the year, with home and road games vs. FGCU, Stetson, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb and crosstown rival North Florida, with the Swisher Gymnasium rendition of the River City Rumble occurring on February 2.
Notable home matchups include Charleston Southern in the non-conference on December 17, defending ASUN Regular Season Champions Jacksonville State on January 2, league contender Liberty on January 19 and a rematch of the ASUN Men's Basketball Championship Final vs. Bellarmine on February 22.
