JACKSONVILLE, FLA – Pitcher Emma Whitfield pitched a four-hit game, but it wasn't enough as Jacksonville University came up short against Central Arkansas at Debbie and Fred Pruitt Softball Complex.  

Despite Whitfield's effort, the Dolphins (17-17, 4-5) dropped the series finale 1-0. 

Central Arkansas scored on a JU fielding error in the top of the fifth inning and the Bears defense and pitcher Jordan Johnson held the Dolphins scoreless seven innings.  

Junior Kailey Harrigan picked up the only JU hit of the game, and her 12th of the season, in the loss.

The Dolphins host the FAMU Rattlers for a midweek doubleheader Tuesday afternoon at 3:00pm and 5:30pm.
