Jacksonville, FL. - women's lacrosse closed out their season with a 23-7 win at home over Stetson.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dolphins scored 10 goals to earn a running clock in the second quarter on the way to victory.
Jacksonville (10-7, ASUN 6-1) senior midfielder
Hudson Gentile started off the game for the Dolphins with a pair of goals to pull ahead with the lead. Briana Samuels found net with an assist from
Lauren Craft. Shortly after Craft scored a goal of her own with an assist from Samuels to show the score 4-0.
Jenna Peed had her first goal of the game with a low-to-high ripper that found net for Jacksonville. Stetson (8-9, ASUN 1-6) had its first successful goal of the game at 3:43. Gentile earned herself a hat trick to end the quarter 6-2.

Addy Tysdal held the Hatters to just two goals in the first quarter, as she faced only 10 shots.
The Dolphins' big second quarter began early.
Molly Brock wasted no time finding the net to begin. Samuels earned a hat trick with back-to-back goals assisted by
Grace Hobson to show the score 9-2. Graduate Student attacker
Sarah Elms had her first goal of the game, cutting in from outside the 12-meter to score between the legs. Craft earned her second goal off a free position. Shortly after, senior attacker
Grace Hobson came around from the back of the goal to rock back and receive a pass from Craft to up the lead to 13-3. Graduate Student midfielder
Madeline Cloyd had her first assist of the game to senior midfielder
Lauren Ellis. Craft earned herself a hat trick to end the first half 16-4 Jacksonville. Stetson only got two successful shots off in the second quarter.
Elms notched herself a hat trick to begin the second half of play. Not long after, junior midfielder Peed ripped two successful shots to score inside the 8-meter. Stetson answered shortly after with a goal to show the score 19-6 Dolphins. Sophomore midfielder Madeline Plitt had a stand-out goal where she transitioned the ball from Jacksonville's defensive end up the field, to notch her first goal of the game. The Dolphins saw three more goals from sophomore midfielder

Alexis Grant, and senior midfielder
Zoe Macrae. Sophomore goalie
Paige Pagano, only allowed the Hatters three goals in the second half of the game.
"Feeling really good, we had a bit of a slow start but eventually we found our groove." said head coach
