RICHMOND, KY – Despite a homerun by Allison Bratek, Jacksonville University softball dropped the series finale 9-1 against Eastern Kentucky at Gertrude Hood Field.
With the loss, the Dolphins record dropped to (18-20, 4-8).
In the top of the third inning, Bratek, a junior left fielder from nearby St. Johns, FL, homered to left center field for the Dolphins. It was her sixth homer of the year.
The Colonels answered back with seven runs in the bottom of the third inning. Eastern Kentucky scored two more runs in the sixth inning.
The Colonels defense held the Dolphins to one run.

Jacksonville travels to Tallahassee to matchup with the Seminoles Wednesday at 6 pm.
