Jacksonville and Stetson End in 0-0 Draw

JACKSONVILLE, -- Jacksonville and Stetson finished in a 0-0 draw Saturday (Oct. 5) at home at Southern Oak Stadium.

Jacksonville moved to 2-5-4 overall and 0-2-1 in ASUN play following the draw. The Dolphins were the first ASUN team this season to get a result against the Hatters, after Stetson defeated UNF and FGCU in its first two games of conference action.

How it Happened

Jacksonville registered six shots in the scoreless tie, two of them on goal. The Dolphins held Stetson to only five shots with just one shot on goal Christian Sekanina led Jacksonville with one save. It was an even and physical match throughout as both teams battled. JU was able to push the ball deep into Hatter territory, earning six corners to Stetson's one. Both defensive sides were able to withstand pressure, allowing just three shots on goal in the game, two for Jacksonville and just one for Stetson.
