Three Dolphins Recognized With ASUN Postseason Accolades

ATLANTA, Ga.- Three members of the Jacksonville Beach Volleyball team were recognized by the Atlantic Sun conference on Tuesday afternoon, with Olivia Szyszkiewicz and partner Anna Erickson making the All-Academic team, and Claire Mrukowski selected to the All-Freshman team.

Szyszkiewicz had 14 wins during the regular season, primarily in the 1st pair and has moved her way into 4th all time on the Dolphin beach volleyball career wins list this season. Olivia is moving to Australia this summer to pursue her master's degree in marine science at James Cook University.

Erickson also had 14 wins during the regular season, primarily in the 1st pair. Anna has earned a 3.9 GPA while studying to get her Doctor of Occupational Therapy. She is the first player in JU beach volleyball history to be playing while pursuing a doctorate. Both Erickson and Szyszkiewicz helped the JU Beach Program win the highest team GPA award at Jacksonville University this year.

Mrukowski earned the All-Freshman team nomination after a very successful rookie year, where she led the team in wins (15), one of those wins against a nationally ranked FIU team. Claire has an opportunity this week in the ASUN conference tournament to set the freshman win record for Jacksonville beach volleyball.

Szyszkiewicz, Erickson and Mrukowski will all lead their team into the ASUN Conference Tournament play where they Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday at 3:00 PM.
