HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jacksonville Beach Volleyball closed out its 2025 season on Friday afternoon in Huntsville, Alabama, competing hard in a 4-0 loss to FGCU in Dual 10 of the ASUN Championship. The defeat brings the Dolphins' postseason run to a close, following a season defined by growth, resilience, and competitive spirit.
FGCU jumped out to an early lead in the dual, earning wins on Courts 2 and 5. Hayden Garnett and Kristina Nika dropped their match at No. 2 (17-21, 13-21), while Kelly Erhard and Morgan Perry fell at No. 5 (12-21, 14-21). Miller Reames and Kate Taylor followed at No. 4, falling in straight sets (12-21, 16-21).
In the top pairing, Emily Kubicsko and Claire Mrukowski fought hard in the second set but were ultimately edged by Nicole De Oliveira and Kaitlyn Luebbers, 12-21, 19-21. The No. 3 match featuring Katie Martinez and Meredith Mrukowski went unfinished after the dual was clinched.
With the loss, Jacksonville concludes its 2025 campaign at the ASUN Championships. Despite the result, it has been a historic season for JU Beach Volleyball, marked by numerous achievements and significant progress. The Dolphins now turn their attention to offseason preparation, eager to build on the strides made this year and continue their success heading into the 2026 season.
