JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Atlantic Sun conference released its preseason honors ahead of the 2025 women's lacrosse season Tuesday morning, and three Jacksonville players were among the winners.

Kaila Stasulli was named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. The veteran defender won the ASUN Defensive Player of the Year award last season after anchoring another elite Dolphins defense. She returns for her fourth season in Jacksonville.

Ainsley Scruggs were all named to the Preseason All-ASUN team. Cuddy, fresh off a silver medal with Team Canada at the U20 Women's World Lacrosse Championships, returns for her third season with the Dolphins.
Cuddy led the team last season with 34 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers. Scruggs is Jacksonville's leading returning scorer. She scored 24 goals and provided four assists last year. Stasulli, in her Defensive Player of the Year season, finished with 33 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers.
The Dolphins were picked to finish second in the preseason coaches poll, receiving one first-place vote. Jacksonville begins its 2025 campaign at home against the Michigan Wolverines on February 7 at 12 PM.
