JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Current Dolphins midfielder Chloe Luther highlights a group of seven players with Jacksonville ties who will be heading to Japan this week for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship.

The event is the biggest international competition in women's lacrosse, with 16 nations from across the globe competing at the highest level.

Incoming freshman Payton Cvetcovic, who will join the Dolphins this fall, will represent Germany in the tournament.

Recent alumni Kaila Stasulli and Maggie Cuddy will be competing for the Philippines and Canada, respectively. Current assistant coach Daryl Coss and graduate assistant Ria Lagdameo will be joining Stasuilli with the Philippines, as well. 

Ashtyn Hiron, who graduated from JU in 2018, will represent Australia. She was the 2016 ASUN Defensive Player of the Year for the Dolphins and is a veteran of the Australian National Team.

Luther will represent the Haudenosaunee Nationals, who qualified in Pool A. She previously represented the Nationals in the 2024 Under-20 tournament, and now she will play for her country at the senior level.

Cuddy is another veteran of the U-20 championship, and she's represented Team Canada at the senior level before, as well. She is one of the most accomplished defenders in JU history, ending her Dolphin career this past season with her second ASUN Championship.

Stasulli, Coss and Lagdameo have helped lead the Philippines lacrosse program to historic heights. In 2025, they lifted a bronze medal at the Asia-Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship. That achievement qualified the country for its first-ever World Lacrosse Championship this summer.
