The Jacksonville women's basketball team fell to the Eastern Kentucky Colonels 88-75 Thursday night in another conference road clash.
The Dolphins (10-11, 4-5 ASUN) were led by a trio of underclassmen. Freshman guard
Comari Mitchell scored a team-high 15 points, one shy of her career high. Sophomore guard
Sana'a Garrett, in her first action since Jan. 11, scored 12 points. Sophomore forward
Saniyah Craig continued her dominant streak in conference play, notching a 10-point, 17-rebound double-double.

Makayla Edwards were active offensively as the Dolphins raced to a 10-4 advantage in the opening minutes. Eastern Kentucky found its offensive form, though, and took a 21-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The two sides played to a near stalemate in the second and third quarters, with the hosting Colonels maintaining their advantage heading into the final period of play.
The Dolphins looked to cut into the deficit, with senior guards
Edyn Battle and
Priscilla Williams hitting pull-up jumpers early in the fourth, but Eastern Kentucky held off and pulled away for the victory.

- Craig recorder her eighth double-double of the season and her sixth game with at least 15 rebounds.
