FAIRFAX, Va. – The Jacksonville Dolphins concluded their swing through Virginia Tuesday night with a 79-57 loss to the George Mason Patriots in the first ever meeting between the two programs.

Jordan Mincy, the 'Phins are now 3-2 in the state of Virginia after a 1-1 showing this year, highlighted by a
dramatic win over VMI on Saturday, which too was the first ever meeting between the two schools. So far this season, Jacksonville is 2-3 overall.
Despite the low scoring night, JU saw double-digit efforts from two new Dolphins in Fairfax.
Jaylen Jones led the team with 14 points on 50% shooting. All 14 of Jones' points came in the second half. He added a team-high three assists and team-high two steals.
Chris Lockett Jr. also ended in double digits, scoring a season-high 12 points on 3-4 shooting. He added two dishes and a board.
As a team, Jacksonville won the rebounding battle. The 'Phins grabbed 29 rebounds to George Mason's 27.

Enrico Borio and
Allen Udemadu each grabbed five boards. Udemadu's number was a season best. Borio's mark tied a season high.
In terms of free throw shooting, Jacksonville had its best night of the season. The team connected on 13 of 15 free throws for a season high 86.7% clip. Jones and Lockett went a combined 8-8 from the charity stripe.
Arias dropped five points as did starter
Hayden Wood. Borio tallied six points. Playing the game's final three minutes,
Michael Harper Jr. knocked down a pair of mid-range jumpers to finish with four points. The freshman Harper Jr. has appeared in four of the team's five games so far this season.
Appearing in his first contest as a Dolphin was seven-foot center
Charles Caporaso. In his first series, Caporaso ripped down a board. The Lake Mary, Florida native finished with two rebounds and one missed shot around the rim in his first Division 1 action.
Jacksonville next returns to its home state for a two-game stand in the Sunshine Slam Tournament in Daytona Beach. JU and Bethune-Cookman square off in the opening round on Monday, Nov. 24. Jacksonville will play the winner of Pacific and Stony Brook in the championship if it defeats Bethune-Cookman, or will play in the third-place game. Both games will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
