NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Jacksonville University women's soccer season ended in extra time during the ASUN Semifinals, with host school #1 Lipscomb taking down the #2 ranked Dolphins, 1-0.

Ryan Moon, JU has gone to extra time or penalty kicks in all three games during the team's two tournament appearances going 1-2 as a program.
Sunday's semifinals ended just 66 seconds into the extra time period as the Bisons snuck in the only shot taken. Overall, as Jacksonville did in its 
previous ASUN Quarterfinals win, the Dolphins outshot their opponent. JU led 18-13 in shots taken with a 5-5 tie in shots on goal.
Paula Herranz was the spearhead with four shots taken, two of which were on goal. In her final appearance as a Dolphin, graduate student 
Alicia Rey Perez took three shots with one on goal in 73 minutes of play.

Pia Bozic played her final game as well, making four saves to end her star-studded career at JU. Bozic,

Frida Johansson played the full 92 minutes of the tournament game.
Jacksonville's season ended with a 9-5-5 cumulative record and a 6-1-3 record in conference play. The 'Phins earned the second-best record in the Graphite Division. Earning nine wins was the team's best mark since 2014.
