JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University softball season is right around the corner and the program wants to welcome all fans to join them to for a trio of events to kick off the school year and season.
To start the fall semester, Jacksonville softball is hosting a golf fundraiser over Homecoming Weekend on Friday, Oct. 23 at Hidden Hills Golf Club. A set shotgun start at 1 p.m. will commence the golf scramble and all potential participants can click
HERE to register or to sponsor a hole. All profits go back to supporting the softball program in its quest for an ASUN title.
The following Saturday, Oct. 24, the program will be hosting an alumni batting practice and barbeque starting at 2 p.m. To confirm attendance with the number of people in your party, click

To officially kick off the softball season, the program will also be hosting an Opening Day Alumni Tailgate.
When the Dolphins play host to UNC Charlotte, and alumni Alyssa Bilodeau, the program invites all to the Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex. First pitch on Thursday, Feb. 11 is slated for 6 p.m. Dolphin softball home games are free to attend.
This offseason, the softball staff has made some changes with one promotion and two new hires. Holli Mitchell
was promoted to Associate Head Coach while still serving as the team's Pitching Coach. Ayers and Mitchell also brought on Syndey Benz
from Dartmouth to serve as the team's Assistant Coach and Hitting Coach. Locally, Volunteer Assistant Coach Garrett Johns
has been brought on from Nease High School to round out the staff.

After a season that saw JU make it to the ASUN Tournament semifinals, Jacksonville is primed for another run at the title. Led by returner and last season's ASUN Freshman of the Year
Jaida Thomas, the 'Phins have added six freshmen and four transfers from around the country to bolster the team.
