TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Senior
Zachary Earley paced the Jacksonville University men's cross country team Friday morning at the FSU Pre-Regional at Apalachee Regional Park.
Earley completed the 8K course in 26:38.2 to finish 88th overall, leading the Dolphins to an 18th-place team finish with 501 points in the 23-team field.
Madison Carty was Jacksonville's second finisher, crossing the line in 27:33.8 for 127th place. It was the freshman's second ever collegiate run.
Gabe Edwards followed in 139th with a time of 27:58.2.
Ryan Miller and
Liam Ford rounded out the Dolphins' five scoring runners. Miller finished 149th in 28:22.6, while Ford placed 153rd in 28:28.2.
Robert Welling crossed in 28:33.8, followed closely by
Caleb Brigman in 28:34.1 and
Paul Svilokos in 28:34.5.
Zander Kochen (28:45.8) and
Andrew Boyer (28:52.5) completed Jacksonville's finishers.
The Dolphins return to competition Oct. 2 at the FLRunners.com Invitational in Lakeland, Fla.
