JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The champs are back. The Jacksonville women's basketball team unveiled its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season Friday. The Dolphins will face a 13 team slate before the start of ASUN play on January 9.
Jacksonville's non-conference schedule features four Power Conference foes, six games at home inside Swisher Gymnasium and seven in-state opponents. The season opens Nov. 3 on the road and ends at the ASUN Tournament in VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena starting March 4.
Nov. 3, 2026 - at FIU
JU opens the season on a three-game road trip, starting in South Florida. The Dolphins start with a familiar foe, the FIU Panthers. This is the ninth consecutive meeting between the two programs, with Jacksonville holding the all-time series lead, 10-5.
Nov. 5, 2026 - at Miami (Fla.)
The Dolphins will stay on South Beach for a tilt with the Miami Hurricanes. JU has played well against ACC opponents under Jennings. Two years ago, Jacksonville took the Hurricanes to the wire, falling 74-71 in Coral Gables.
Last season, JU won its first ACC game in over a decade when it downed Georgia Tech 69-64.
Nov. 11, 2026 - at Coastal Carolina
The early road swing ends in Conway, South Carolina, as the Dolphins do battle with the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina. The two teams met in Swisher Gymnasium a season ago, with Jacksonville rolling to a 68-51 victory.
Nov. 14, 2026 - vs Warner (Fla.)
JU returns to the friendly confines of Swisher Gymnasium three days later against Warner. Before the game there will be a celebration to recognize last season's ASUN Champions, with the presentation of championship rings and the unveiling of the championship banner.
Nov. 21, 2026 - vs Trinity College of Jacksonville
After a week's rest, Jacksonville faces the Eagles of Trinity College of Jacksonville. The Eagles went 14-12 a season ago, the first winning season for the program in the 2020s. This is just the second ever meeting in women's basketball between JU and TCJ.
Nov. 24, 2026 - at UCF
The Dolphins stay in Florida but head back on the road for a quick trip south to face UCF. Jacksonville hasn't faced the Knights since 2018, while UCF holds the all-time series lead 13-6. The Knights are coming off an 11-19 season, but enter this season under the helm of first year head coach Gabe Lazo.
Nov. 28, 2026 - vs Florida Tech
JU returns to Swisher to battle with the Florida Tech Panthers. Last season, Jacksonville defeated the Panthers 75-47 in the second game of the season. Florida Tech finished last season 10-18.
Dec. 5, 2026 - at Little Rock
The first of three games on the slate by way of the Unisun Sports consortium with the United Athletic Conference, Jacksonville heads west to Arkansas to face the Little Rock Trojans. This is the first ever meeting between the two programs.
Dec. 9, 2026 - at NC State
The road trip swings back east for two power conference clashes. The Dolphins will face one of the stronger teams in the country, the NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh, N.C. This is JU's third trip to Raleigh, most recently facing off in 2017.
Dec. 17, 2026 - at Georgia
Jacksonville plays its final road game of the non-conference season when it heads to Stegeman Coliseum to face the Georgia Bulldogs. Jacksonville will look to get its first win over a Southeastern Conference opponent. The Bulldogs went 22-10 last season en route to an NCAA Tournament Appearance.
Dec. 28, 2026 - vs Fort Lauderdale
In the heart of the holiday season, JU welcomes Fort Lauderdale for the first time in program history. The Eagles started their program in 2022 and they compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association.
Dec. 31, 2026 - vs Tarleton State
Jacksonville rings in the New Year with a pair of UAC foes in Swisher Gymnasium. On New Year's Eve, the Dolphins face the Tarleton State Texans. This is the first ever meeting between the two programs. Tarleton is new to the UAC after previously competing in the WAC.
Jan. 2, 2027 - vs Abilene Christian
The first game of 2027 sees JU take on the Wildcats of Abilene Christian. In the two teams only other meeting, ACU took home a 76-72 win at the Texas Tech Invitational in December of 2013. Abilene Christian was one of the best teams in the WAC last season, going 24-11 and earning a spot in the WNIT.
