JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University men's basketball non-conference schedule presented by Publix is finally here.

The Dolphins unveiled their complete schedule Friday, complete with eight home games during the non-conference slate. The season kicks off at home on Nov. 2 and runs until a road tilt down at Florida Gulf Coast on Feb. 27. Jacksonville will take its talents to Texas, California, Indiana and all along the Florida coastline for the 2026-27 season.

During the non-conference season, the 'Phins will play nine games away from historic Swisher Gymnasium. Complete with an overhauled roster featuring 11 new players, Jacksonville is poised to make some noise in the non-conference season all over the country. First however, they will kick things off at home.
 
November 2, 2026 – vs. Paine College
Jacksonville's first game of the season is home against the Paine College Lions. The Lions hail from Augusta, Ga. and compete in the NCCAA. Last season, Paine earned the #3 seed in the NCCAA South Region Championship. When Jacksonville meets the HBCU in early November, it will be the first ever meeting between the two programs.
 
November 5, 2026 – at University of Florida
The first road trip of the season is just a short trek down to Gainesville, where head coach Jordan Mincy faces his former team once again. The two programs last squared off down at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in 2024 but since then, UF has a national title and an SEC regular season championship. Jacksonville last won in Alachua County back in 2010.
 
November 9, 2026 – vs. University of Missouri-Kansas City
The UMKC Roos bounce on down to Jacksonville for JU's second home game of the year. Like Paine College, UMKC and JU have never met before in a game. The Roos compete in the Summit League and went 4-27 last season.
 
November 16, 2026 – at University of Georgia
Much like the trip to Gainesville, the 'Phins are also visiting a familiar SEC foe in Georgia. The two teams last battled back in 2024, when current Dolphin Jaden Newell was a Bulldog. Mincy used to coach alongside current UGA head man Mike White when the pair were at Florida. Newell's brother and former UGA teammate Asa also plays professional basketball just down the road for the Atlanta Hawks and faced the 'Phins back in '24. November 16 will be a quite the reunion. 
 
November 19, 2026 – vs. University of Arkansas at Little Rock
Part of the Atlantic Sun's consortium with the United Athletic Conference, the Dolphins will play two home and two away games against UAC opponents, kicking off with a tilt against Little Rock. The first of two Trojans JU will see this year, Little Rock won five of its 12 games away from the Natural State last season. The two programs have a history of playing one another dating back to 1991. Jacksonville hasn't defeated Little Rock, however, since 1995. The programs last faced off back in 2012.
 
November 21, 2026 – vs. University of Central Arkansas
A school JU fans are plenty familiar with is Central Arkansas, now of the UAC. Central Arkansas comes to town after competing in the ASUN since 2022, last having visited Swisher Gymnasium in January of 2025. Transfer big man Nehemiah Turner got his start with the Bears, averaging 8.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game during his freshman season. Those numbers saw Turner transfer to Minnesota before returning to his home state of Florida to now face the school that gave him his start. JU holds a 6-1 record all time against the team from Conway, Ark.
 
November 24, 2026 – at Indiana University
Jacksonville's next road trip is to a historic basketball school in Indiana University. The Hoosiers and Dolphins have met just three times, most recently in 2018, but both programs are steeped in basketball tradition from the '70s and '80s. When Jacksonville faces off against the candy striped pants in Bloomington, it will be almost 900 miles away from campus in Duval County.
 
November 28, 2026 – vs. Trinity College of Jacksonville
Jacksonville rides a perfect 11-0 record into another meet up with Trinity College of Jacksonville. Last season, JU defeated TCoJ 122-49. The win was the second 100-plus point showing of the year for the 'Phins and was the program's fourth highest scoring game of the 2000s. 
 
December 1, 2026 – at University of Central Florida
Staying in the Sunshine State, Jacksonville hits I-95 South to Orlando to face off against the Knights of UCF. Jacksonville last drew swords against the Knights and head coach Johnny Dawkins in 2024. The year prior to that game, the former Duke legend was inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. In 2026, Dawkins was named the Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year.
 
December 5, 2026 – vs. Florida International 
After a trip down to Miami last season, Jacksonville welcomes the Panthers to Swisher. The two programs have met just twice ever, with FIU earning the win last season. This year, though, the Panthers will be led by a new head coach in Joey Cantens, the former head man of Daytona State College.
 
December 9, 2026 – at University of South Florida
It's once again back down to the southern parts of Florida for Jacksonville as the Dolphins go up against Tampa's very own South Florida. The two schools have plenty of history dating all the way to 1974 but haven't seen each other since 2015. Like FIU, the Bulls have a new coach in former Xavier and Louisville head man Chris Mack. 
 
December 12, 2026 – vs. Baptist University of Florida
The second-to-last home game of the non-con schedule features a matchup with Baptist University of Florida. Last year was the first year of NCCAA athletics for BUF. The team won 10 games in its inaugural season.
 
December 16, 2026 – at Florida State University
Another school Jacksonville's coaches and fans know well is Florida State. The Seminoles were home to former JU standout Robert McCray V and are the current home of former JU associate head coach Michael Fly. The two programs met last year before McCray found his way to the NBA G-League. FSU is one of Jacksonville's oldest rivals, with the two teams first meeting one another in 1959.
 
December 19, 2026 – at University of Southern California
The longest road trip of the year features Jacksonville going all the way out to Southern California, a mere 2,400 miles-plus away from JU. The game is the furthest trip from home for a JU team under Mincy while also the first ever meeting between the two programs. USC is coming off an 18-14 year in the Big Ten under head coach Eric Musselman. 
 
December 28, 2026 – vs. University of Fort Lauderdale
The last home game of the non-con schedule falls three days after Christmas against Fort Lauderdale. The Eagles have been competing in the NCCAA since the 2020 season and have never matched up with Jacksonville.
 
December 31, 2026 – University of Texas at Arlington
A new addition to the UAC is UT Arlington. Like many of the programs on JU's schedule, this too will be a first-ever meeting with the Mavericks when Jacksonville travels to the Lone Star State. UTA went 18-14 in its final season in the WAC, appearing in the WAC Tournament semifinals. Last season featured the second most wins by a UTA team under current head coach KT Turner. 
 
January 2, 2027 – Abilene Christian
Jacksonville keeps choosing Texas when it starts the new year at Abilene Christian. The 2027 contest will be the first ever between the two schools. ACU rattled off 14 wins last season and made it to the semifinals of the WAC Tournament. The Wildcats return their fourth highest points per game scorer in guard Yaniel Rivera (7.2 ppg) for the 2026-27 season.

The full ASUN schedule is available on JUDolphins.com with the first ASUN game of the year coming on Thursday, Jan. 7 against Lipscomb inside Swisher Gymnasium. The first edition of the River City Rumble comes on Saturday, Jan. 23 at home. The Dolphins visit UNF for the second half of the River City Rumble on Feb. 20.
