Michael Albaladejo joined Jacksonville as the Director of Baseball Operations in July of 2019.
Albaladejo joins the JU staff in a graduate assistant role to oversee day-to-day activities, travel and home gameday operations. He excelled as a catcher for three-years at Florida Atlantic before switching to second base his senior year, and displayed a fiery streak and excellent leadership in his time with the Owls. Unanimously voted a team captain his sophomore season, he was a three-time Sun Belt All-Tournament Team selection, helping FAU to two Sun Belt Championships, highlighted by his First-Team All-Sun Belt season at the keystone in 2012.
After graduation, he signed a free agent contract with the Washington Nationals, and played professionally for three seasons.
