The No. 25 ranked prospect in the state of Florida out of high school, Fitzgerald comes to the River City following a successful prep year. The 6-0, 155-pound guard spent last season at Sunrise Christian Prep School in Wichita, Kan. under coaches Achoki Moikobu and Luke Barnwell, earning a spot at the All-National Prep School Invitational in Providence, R.I. Before joining the Buffaloes, he was a 1000 point scorer at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach. Fla. under Coach Tavarus Harris. Leading the Crusaders to the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 4A Championship Game in 2015, Fitzgerald was a three-time First-Team All-County selection by the Sun Sentinel, and was a member of the paper''s "Fab 5" list his junior and senior seasons. Earning Second and First-Team Class 5A All-State honors in 2016 and 2017 respectively, he averaged 24.0 PPG and 8.0 APG his senior season.
