Former Jacksonville men’s soccer player Juan Arguedas returns to the team for the 2018 season to serve as the Graduate Student Manager and Director of Operations.

A four-year letter-winner for the Dolphins from 2012-16, Arguedas appeared in 62 career matches as a defender, making 54 starts. He recorded 11 total points, including an assist in the team’s ASUN Championship Quarterfinal match against USC Upstate on Nov. 5, 2015.

A native of Costa Rica, he competed with the Costa Rican U-23 National Team in 2014 and 2015.

Continuing his playing career in the River City after college, Arguedas spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the U-23 Jacksonville Armada team of the National Premier Soccer League.

A 2016 graduate of JU, he earned bachelor’s degrees in finance and international business. Arguedas is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance and accounting.
